A Season of Gratitude, Giving Back & Holiday Traditions in Cypress

There's something about this time of year that makes us want to slow down, pull out the cozy sweaters, and get into the holiday spirit.

Except Southern California apparently didn't get the memo.

It's October, the temperatures are still making us question whether summer ever ended, and the idea of sipping hot cocoa in a cozy sweater sounds more like a heatstroke warning than a holiday tradition.

But ready or not, the holidays are coming!

Before we know it, we'll be planning Thanksgiving dinner, wondering where we stored the Christmas decorations, and trying to figure out how another year went by so quickly.

And somewhere between the grocery lists, holiday plans, and our ongoing negotiations with the weather, there's something worth remembering:

The best part of this season isn't what's on the table or under the tree. It's the people around us.

And here in Cypress, we're lucky to be surrounded by some pretty wonderful people.

A Little Gratitude Goes a Long Way

Working in real estate has given me a front-row seat to so many different chapters in people's lives. First homes, growing families, downsizing, fresh starts, and everything in between.

But what I've always loved most about this business isn't the houses. It's the relationships.

Some of the people I've met through real estate have become lifelong friends. Others are familiar faces I run into around Cypress, at the grocery store, or during one of our community events.

And every year, I'm reminded that being part of a community means so much more than simply living or working in the same ZIP code.

It's showing up for each other. It's knowing your neighbors. It's finding little ways to make someone's day better.

Which brings me to two of my favorite holiday traditions!

First Up: Free Pumpkin Pie!

Thanksgiving wouldn't be quite the same without pumpkin pie. And while I can't promise to help with the turkey, I can certainly help with dessert!

Our annual FREE Pumpkin Pie Giveaway in Cypress is back, and it's our little way of saying thank you.

Thank you to the clients who have trusted us with some of life's biggest decisions. To the friends who continue to support us. To the neighbors who wave hello. And to everyone who makes this community such a special place to call home.

No big speeches. No strings attached. Just a pumpkin pie and a heartfelt thank-you.

Next Up: Breakfast with Santa Returns to Cypress!

Once Thanksgiving is behind us, it's time to trade the pumpkin pie for pancakes!

Mark your calendar for Saturday, December 5, 2026, because our annual Breakfast with Santa is returning to Veterans Park in Cypress, California.

If you've joined us before, you know what a fun morning this can be. Kids excited to see Santa, families enjoying breakfast together, neighbors catching up, and enough holiday spirit to make even the biggest Grinch smile.

And yes, we're working on those pancake lines! Because as much as we love bringing everyone together, we know nobody wants to spend their entire morning waiting for breakfast.

We're already busy planning ways to make this year's event even better, and we'd love for you and your family to join us.

Breakfast with Santa is FREE, but registration helps us prepare for everyone who's coming.

Want to Help Make Some Holiday Magic?

Here's where things get even more fun.

Community events don't happen by themselves. Behind every pancake, every Santa visit, and every smiling kid is a group of people who decided to give a little of their time, energy, or resources to make something special happen.

And we're always looking for more of those people!

There are several ways to get involved with Breakfast with Santa this year:

  • Volunteer: Whether you love helping behind the scenes or being right in the middle of the action, we'd love an extra pair of hands.

  • Become a sponsor: Local businesses and community supporters can help us keep this event free and enjoyable for Cypress families.

  • Bring your business: Interested in having a table at the event? We'd love to hear from local businesses that want to connect with our community.

  • Share your ideas: Have a suggestion that could make this year's event even better? We're listening!

You don't have to be a big company or have a lot of free time to make a difference. Sometimes the smallest contributions help create the biggest smiles.

It's About More Than Pumpkin Pie and Pancakes

I know. That's a bold statement, especially when free dessert is involved.

But these events have never really been about the food.

They're about seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. Watching kids make memories. Giving families something fun to do together without worrying about the cost. And creating the kind of neighborhood connections that make a city feel like home.

Cypress has given us so much over the years, and these events are one small way we get to give something back.

Whether you've lived here for decades, recently moved into the neighborhood, or are simply coming to celebrate with us, you're part of what makes this community special.

So as we head into the holiday season, I hope you find a little time to slow down, enjoy the people around you, and maybe eat an extra slice of pie.

And if I see you at Breakfast with Santa, come say hello!

From our team to your family, thank you for being part of our Cypress community. We can't wait to celebrate the season with you.

With gratitude,

Kathy Zajac
